Terry Carroll in 1980 decided to capitalize on his experience that he gathered by breaking the British Casting Record for several times during the late sixties and seventies. The record breaker then dreamt of producing the casting and fishing rods for the enthusiasts across the United Kingdom. As the story goes- Terry’s wife, who had taken an oath to be with her husband through every bump of life and walk through every road hand in hand provided the full support to her husband and the brightest star of the fishing arena, the Zziplex Ltd. Was born.

This expanded Terry’s popularity on the casting and fishing scene in the United Kingdom, making him the biggest single influence in this field of the sport. Many of his creations are copied extensively but are never emulated.
